This station with an area of 8.2 ha was transferred by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to the University in the year 1971. This station is located 90 km from the main university campus on Haldwani Almora highway. It caters to the research needs of the low hills and valleys of Uttarakhand (Kumaon region). Most of the researches on field crops- rice, wheat, millets are under rainfed conditions. The main focus is on fish farming, vegetable production, production of aromatic and medicinal plants and organic agriculture.
